Right, so this is quite an embarrassing post and admission… having been sent a stunning pair of Blossom Mother and Child Neo Maternity Jeans/Jeggings for review I CAN’T SQUEEZE MYSELF INTO THEM!! As anyone who keeps an eye on my blog posts will know, I’m currently battling against my baby weight and having exercised almost daily up until week 36 of my 2nd pregnancy and been conscious about my eating, I managed to pile on nearly 3 stone in total (I dread to think what I would have tipped the scales at had I not bothered with the exercise *shock face*)!
I had been happily envisaging slipping comfortably into my ‘normal’ jeans within a week of giving birth and chatting away about how I avoided piling on the pounds this time (btw – in this fantasy I also have Denise Richards face) but boy, did I get a rude awakening! Anyway, I digress…
I have shopped at Blossom Mother and Child both at their London and Dubai stores and have always been impressed with both their selection of stylish maternity and nursing wear and their customer services (I had to exchange something from Dubai in London and they were incredibly helpful). I was thrilled to be sent a pair of Neo Maternity Jeans, although I’m no longer pregnant and don’t wear short or midriff-bearing tops (perish the thought!) so don’t need to worry about the waistband construction, I was looking forward to having a stylish yet comfortable pair of Jeans for those days when I’m fighting the bloat.
Neo is Blossom’s own trademark brand of Maternity Jeans and Jeggings (they also stock other brands) and they really are gorgeous. They are the perfect dark indigo colour, which helps if you’re trying to make your legs appear slimmer, apparently faded patches on legs increase bulk *who knew?*. As soon as you take them out of the packet you can see they’re excellent quality and I can’t wait to slim into them and review them thoroughly. I’ll literally keep you posted with Part 2!
Blossom Mother and Child stock a huge range of maternity & ‘normal’ clothing and baby products; feeding, sleeping, gizmos and gadgets, changing bags, bathtime and nursing products. It’s the sort of place you shop if you’re buying for a good friend who’s having a baby and you want to show them you’ve made an effort looking for a gorgeous gift. They make it easy to keep abreast (pardon the pun) of the latest trends in the baby market in their “What’s New” section. They are also running a fabulous competition at the moment to win £1000s of baby gifts so head over to their website here, follow them on Facebook or give their friendly team a wave on Twitter!
